Cristina Equi

As a FIS Regulatory Advisory Services Compliance Officer, Cristina brings more than 10 years legal experience in the areas of commercial and contract litigation as well as age, sex, race, disability, religious and national origin discrimination. Specifically, Cristina litigated cases involving the Fair Housing Act and the Unfair or Deceptive Acts Practices Act and advised clients on the Fair Credit Reporting Act and their obligations under that Act.
Her current responsibilities include responding to client inquiries regarding federal compliance questions, monitoring upcoming changes to the Federal Regulations and drafting articles and guidance on federal compliance issues. As a Spanish speaker, she is also able to provide compliance services in Spanish.
She has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1998. Cristina is also a member of the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. Cristina attended Florida International University in Miami, Florida where she received her Bachelor of Arts before receiving her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law.
